a huge reeking rubbish dump infested with rats, shadowclan wolves are forced to come here during tough times in leafbare

Flicking her ears the shecat padded up to the carrion place and stared at it in slight awe. shaking her head she slunk over to it and poked a black bag a little tentativley, her whiskers flattened against her face before she leapt up and landed on it. her green eyes swept around until she saw a nose poking out of a hole. dropping into an expert crouch she began stalking the rat.

The black and gray tom padded into Carrion Place soon after Silvermoon. His tail was lifted slightly up from the ground, so It wouldn't catch a leaf. See, he did remember his training... Oceanfeather went a different direction around the heap of rubbish before leaping silently on a black bag. His ears erect at he listened for the scuffle of rat paws. He never really enjoyed the taste of rat, but it was what he grew up eating in Shadowclan. An almost still movement across an open patch of ground presented a perfect opportunity. The tom edged forward, eyeing the rodent as it stood against the earth. Oceanfeather leapt from his place and bolted toward his prey, pushing his paws squarely over the creature until he heard its tiny spine split in two. The tabby tom smiled with his kill and picked up the dead rat between his teeth and padded off to find Silvermoon, making sure to place his paws carefully.. for she may still be hunting.

Flicking her ears she pounced and swiped open the rats life blood grabbing it by the head she shook her head savagley killing the rat instantly. throwing it down she waited for another rat to poke its nose out. her beautiful silver pelt shining a little in the mid morning light. her green eyes intense.

Oceanfeather walked up next to Silvermoon when he realized she was done with her kill, a smile across his mouth as he held the rat. A low purr escaped his throat as he realized her expression. He cocked his brow with an amused posture, "Babycakes, we aren't in battle. We are simply hunting." His words were slippery, tumbling out through thick rat fur. The dark tabby tom held his tail over his back with the tip hooked over at the top, he was in an unusually happy mood. He knew Silvermoon well for the most part, they grew up and trained together as kits and apprentices. Sadly, she pursued the deputy spot fiercely, and took her chance. The status seperated them, she was his superior along with Shadowstar.

Silvermoon turned and glanced at her old friend, a faint smile appeared on her emotionless face before it vanished again. she leapt down and picked up her dead rat a sad look in her green eyes she murmured through her rat "im thinking of stepping down from deputy" her silverpelt sat on her neatly her green eyes glittering with worry. her tail curled around her left back leg.

The dark tabby tom literally dropped his rat at her words. His blue eyes widdened in shock, it took Oceanfeather several seconds to regain his momentuum. His ears flattened, "Why? You are very luvky to have been given such an honor." His words were far from harsh, but had a curious ring to them. The tom noticed his fresh-kill laid sloppily on the dirt and bent down to grasp it in his fine jaws. Lifting his head back up to its normal hieght, he searched Silvermoon's green eyes for a response.

She didnt reply just stared back at him and turned dropping her rat she leapt up and swiped at another killing it instantly. her green eyes flickered with thoughts, she hissed and continued killing the rats like she was trying to hide from something. her beautiful pelt shone in the light, her green eyes alight with the hunt.

Oceanfeather sighed, placing his rat on the ground before leaping after his friend. Trash bag, after trash bag. He sprinted, and finally dragged his hindpaws on the plastic till he spun 180 degrees. He was nose-to-nose with Silvermoon, sapphire eyes strained determinedly. "Answer me." He meowed. His dark fur flat, having a cloud-like shine when the sun hit it. He purred when he realized they were standing in the one beam of sunlight within the dismal Carrion Place.

dropping the rat that she had in her mouth she stared at oceanfeather with emotion in her eyes. she hesitated then let her nose touch his before mumbling "because a Female deputy is not allowed to have a love" she turned and leapt down beginning to pick up as many rats as she could. her ear tips burning, she wasnt supposed to love! her father up in starclan would be furious with her. she shivered a little at the thought of his rage.

Oceanfeather raised himself to his full height as Silvermoon bounded away. Love? His ears flattened. The dark tabby warrior followed his friend, very confused. "Who do you love?" He mewed. Oceanfeather shook out his slightly bristled fur, it wasn't out of anger, just confusion. He tended to bristle when he was embarrassed or confused. It was another odd thing about the Shadowclan tom.

"i never said that i loved anyone, i was joking" she said bristling a little, she turned and stared at him with a blank gaze hiding all of her emotion. she bounded off heading not for camp but for another part of shadowclan territory the burnt sycamore. it had always been her favourite kithood hidin spot when she needed sometime. noone knew about the secret hollow up near the top of the tree

Oceanfeather hissed under his breath as Silvermoon ran away in the direction of the burnt sycamore. He knew better than to follow her. When he tried when they were apprentices, he got a well earned rake across the nose. He grumbled and picked up his mouse before heading of to the marshes. He might as well take a walk before going back to camp, actually. He rethought his plan, why not go check the thunderclan border.

Padding up to the carrion place he wrinkled his nose, he wondered if shadowstar would be about. he hoped that she would be happy to see him. his brown eyes glittered gently and slightly boredly.

Shadowstar slunk in the shadows, her nose wrinkling at the strong smell of carrion. Her eyes widened as she smelled Windclan. "Why are you in Shadowclan territory?" she questioned the intruder, her maw formed in a snarl. From her place in the shadows, all she saw as a faint outline, not enough form to determine who it was.

he retorted calmly "looking for someone to talk to, i havent taken any prey" his brown eyes glittered with amusement. Shaking out his pelt he leapt down the heap and landed before the shadowclan leader. his elegant form looked slightly skinny.

Shadowstars gaze narrowed. "Why cant you talk to your own clan Snakestar? Whats more, you do know your trespassing." She couldnt contain the grin that broke across her face when she saw him though. "I have too much on my mind to talk."

Snakestar padded over to shadowstar and smirked a little "im sure you dont mind that much" he lightly swung his paw over her nose. a teasing grin in his glittering brown eyes shone with affection and happiness.

She leader dodged his swipe. "Fine. I'm not ecstatic but I'm not going to chase oyu out either. Can I confide in you?" she knew it was risky, but she needed to get it of her mind.

He sat down and licked his front paw, he smiled faintly and flicked his long tail "of course, if i can confide in you afterwards of course" he winked and glanced up as the moon continued on its way through the sky.

listening intently the large leader shook his head "i doubt that they hate you, perhaps are a little mad but they will get over it" his eyes glittered with worry "all of the clans are weak at the moment shadowstar... it worries me" he shook out his pelt and watched her with his unwavering gaze.

Oceanfeather arrived, for today, all he was going to do was show Skypaw the territory. She was only just now an apprentice, and it tooks seasons to become a full Medicine Cat. The dark tabby waited for Skypaw to catch up, he was a little impatient... This was his first apprentice, but Shadowclan had not had little ones for moons. Well at least Shadowstar trusts him enough to let him teach one of the most prevcious cats in the clan.

"You have to go!" she hissed before shoving him up the carrion pile. "Get out!" turning, she trotted over to Oceanfeather, giving her shoulder a few licks. "Oceanfeather," he nodded coolly as she passed him. Pausing, her ears perked, waiting for Skypaw to appear.

The dark tabby saw Shadowstar pad up, was she here all night? Oceanfeather mewed. "Mornin--" He cut off when Windclan scent came off of Shadowstar's fur. His sapphire eyes narrowed. The shadowclan warrior waited, hoping Skypaw would be a little late so his Leader could explain why the breezy scent clung to her fur like rain.
