Riverclan Camp

The whole camp is surrounded by reeds. Its also well-drained island surrounded by the river and reeds. The other Clans' fear of water means this camp has never been attacked. In the central area, the cats lie and share tongues in the sun. In the tangle of one of the reeds, there is the warrior's den. It is also right next to the nursery. On the roof of the den, cats have woven in sparkling rocks and shells from the river. The light dances on these, making beautiful reflections.[10] The river comes up very close to the nursery. That's why the walls are built very thickly to prevent the nursery from floating away in a flood. The nursery is also close to the river so the kits can practice getting wet and sometimes swimming. This helps them when they become apprentices. Across the central clearing, the elder's den, leader's den, apprentice's den, and the medicine's den dwell. They are all in a tangle of reeds covered by a hard reedy roof.

The deputy flicked her white fluffy tail lazily her blue eyes half closed, black paws resting neatly infront of her she yawned showing needle white teeth. glancing over to the nursery she saw Starkkit and smiled faintly, she had enjoyed looking after the energetic kit. flicking her whiskers she turned her head and began licking her side clean of mud.

the little dark grey kit whisked his tail in anticipation. he was so close to catching that elusive leaf he had been stalking for hours....

Ripplestone flicked her tail in silent amusement, her bright blue eyes quiet and calm. standing up she turned and padded over to him with the quietest of pawsteps "lower your rear down or it will see you" she whispered quietly demonstrating a hunting crouch for the young kit.

" but leaves don't have eyes" he replied, lowering his rear end a little even so. He narrowed his eyes and pounced with his eyes closed. " did- did i get it?" his tail stuck straight up in the air and waved the tip as he squinted with one eye and lifted a paw.

Twitching her fluffy tail she sat up and smiled faintly "are you excited about becoming an apprentice soon?" she queried bright blue eyes curious. her tail lashed over the ground a little before she stood and stretched a little. her eyes travelled over the camp, she had to go on border patrol soon but she couldnt leave starkkit by himself. her whiskers flattened against her face in indesision.

" sure am" the reply was indestinct because he was busy trying to eat the leaf. suddenly his eyes rolled over to where the rest of the patrol was forming and grew large " ooh can i go can i go can i go pleeeeeeeeeeeeease?" in true kit fashion he dropped the leaf and shot over without waiting for a reply

The River clan leader opened he's eyes and walked out of the den, the large young male sat at the log and watch the pup and he's deputy talk. He looked around the area he's ice blue gaze scanned the camp. "Starkkit as you are near you apprentice ceremony you can got with ripplestone, however show a little patients." The handsome silver pelt male said with a grin.

Ripplestone perked her ears and smiled faintly, she dipped her head respectfully to her leader and grinned at starkkit "come on then little one" she gave him a gentle lick to the cheek and purred a little her long white fur hangnig off her frame. her bright blue eyes twinkled at Silverstar. ducking her head a little shyly the blackpawed deputy turned and padded out heading for the thunderclan border
-thunderclan border

Silverstar watched them leave as the young leader stretched out and looked around the quiet camp. It was still very early so he decided to eat. He jumped down from the large log and strolled over to the fresh kill pile which was plentiful. The male picked up a duck from the pile and sat down in the middle of the clearing to eat he's breakfast quietly.

Brackenspirit was lounging in the warriors den, his eyes slowly blinking with tiredness. His eyes drudgery made him feel even more tired, was there more to life then fish? He had no idea. His tail flicked up slightly then slumped to the ground. Repeatedly as he watched the others around camp. His ears flicking occasionally. He noticed Ripplestone leaving camp and finally found something to do. He followed the warrior.

-ThunderClan & RiverClan Border-

Silverstar got up after finishing hes meal, he stretched out and looked around the camp. The cool collective male yawned a little as he shook hes fur. "The mornings were getting colder each day." the male said to himself as he walked around the secure camp.

Heatherfrost padded out of the warriors den, a shiver shuddering through her body. Yawning the female gazed sleepily around the camp, her eyes still slightly bleary with sleep. Padding swiftly over to the fresh-kill pile she settled herself momenterally before the pile of prey, raking her gaze over the choices before tentivly dragging a small fish from the top.

Silverstar turned around to see heatherfrost. "Good morning heatherfrost how are you doing on this chilly morning." The male said in hes usual cool tone as he sat a few tails lengths away.

Heatherfrost flicked her ears at a voice beside her. Turning her head she dipped it respectfully to her leader, her voice friendly and kind. "Good morning Silverstar." Curling her tail neatly around her paws Heatherfrost sighed, a billow of frosty air erupting from her muzzle. "I'm doing fine thank you very much. How about yourself?"

The large male looked at heatherfrost with warm eyes, "I'm fine my self ripplestone brakenspirit and starkkit have gone out for morning patrol." the male said as he looked around the camp the frog began to clear.

starkkit bounced along next to the deputy and the other warrior. how exciting! finally he didn't have to stay within the boundaries of camp! there were so many things to smell, to investigate. his tail quivered with excitement though he did his best to remain as serenly calm as the others.

Heatherfrost nodded slightly as she listened to Silverstar speak. It was good to hear that he was ok. Redirecting her gaze to the fish that lay limply at her paws, she nudged towards him in a silent offer. Looking warmly at him she gestured to the fish with a quick nod of her head in it's general direction. "You can have some if you like."

The Bi-Polar warrior padded back to camp with a growl. His eyes seething with anger as he looked at Silverstar. How could he send Starkit out on a patrol with the ThunderClan border? That was dangerous for the kit and it's a good thing that Starkit wasn't there when Hawkstar arrived. He growled more and went to the warriors den.

Silverstar smiled lightly at heatherfrost "No thank you heatherfrost I had just ate. The male said then he turned he's attention on the black warrior " Hey brackenspirit how are you doing." the grey leader asked in a cool tone as he watched the black cat approach the warriors den.

Brackenspirit grunted a response, but was not being able to make out by the ear. He laid down, flicking his tail in annoyance. Did Hawkstar think Riverclan relied on the river? Why would he challenge them being on Riverclan's side of the border?

The large male could not hear the mumbles that brackenspirit uttered, but who could tell the male was frustrated about something. The grey leader stalked back to he's den as he sat down at the entrance he stared at the black warrior with he's icy blue eyes.

Ecilpsedark watched solemnly from the warriors' den. She got up and walked over to Silverstar. Can I do anything to help? she whispered. The black and white cat glanced over at Brackenspirit.

Padding into camp the lean ripplestone trotted over to silverstar and murmured quietly "the gathering silverstar we are going to be late" her bright blue eyes glittered with worry, her black paws resting neatly on the slightly peaty ground of the riverclan camp. her ears flickered listening to the sound of the not so distant river.

Ecilpsedark heard Ripplestone's words and understood. "She's right, Silverstar. The gathering is very near indeed, she said in her quiet voice." She whirled round and ran to the fresh-kill pile and snatched up a fish. Rushing back, the misty cat looked at the other two cats with her expressionless stare. Her dark violet eyes held a faint glint of humor.
