Four trees 30/11/12

Shadowstar leaped of the rock in one fluid motion and slunk into the shadows beside the highstone. My least favorite part, she thought bitterly. Licking her soulder a few times she twined her tail around her paws. Flicking her eas, she watched as the few cats who came to the gathering talked.

Looking at shadow,who was in the same shadow as he,he sighed. "You don't le this gathering any more then i do." He paused to let it sink in. "Don't you." He kept his amber gaze at her dark pelt.

Hollyclaw bounded into te clearing, her heart sinking when she saw the leaders had already spoken. Trotting through the ranks of cats, she came to a stop beside Snakestar and Snowflower. "Sorry I'm late," she murmured.

The Shadowclan leader flattened her ears at his voice. She had forgotten he had leaped down before her. "Depends how much you like the gatherings. I-" she cut of abruptly and turned to face him, her bright green eyes boring into his pelt. "Why do you want to know."

He chuckled. Then turned his head back to the gathering cats. "Might as well try to get a long. Its a gathering for starclan's sake!" He then gave his chest some embarresed licks. "Godd luck with your clan. This leaf-bare might not be so gracious this year."

Shadowstar shrugged and turned away from him. Changing the subject huh. "Yeah, we'll do fine. We always do. May Starclan pity you this leaf-bare." That was as close she was going to get to wishing ths Thunderclan leader good luck.

He grinned. The shadowclan leaders were always trying there hardest. Sometimes it clouded their good judgement. "Or at least their manners." He whispered very lowley. He then turned to shadowstar. "So,do we share tongues or something?"

Shadowstars good hearing had picked up his comment, but she ignored it. "Most cats are. But me personally tthink its a waste of time and shoud only be done with a friend, or someone you care for." Her green eyes were hard. It would never happen to her, unless she shared tongues with Silvermoon, or maybe one of her clanmates. Definatly not another cat from another clan. She shuddered involountarity.

He rolled his eyes. "Well right now we're sharing news. But not exactly cleaning each other pelts." He growled at the scene of the two licking each other's pelt. "Why would i really share news or information with another clan." He chuckled.

The black cat shrugged. "Because you lost your mind?" she offered as an answer to his question. Leaving the shadows she leapt back up on the highstone. Lying down, she gaze her chest a few licks and searched the crowd for a familiar, handsome face.

He yawned,then laid down. He watched shadowstar climb back up the rock. He shrugged. But curled up in the depth of the darkness. The shadows engulfing the clearing surround fourtrees.

Finding it, she sighed. He wouldnt even like her, besides, she was the leader. No mate for her. Twitching her whiskers, she lay sphinks like on the boulder, watching cats who were in different clans groom eachother. "Yuck," she muttered darkly.

Catching shadowstar's words,he chuckled. He then stood and streched. Yawning,he walked through the group of cats. Why should i find a person to share tongues with? None of my clan is even here. He sighed. But sat down by some trees. Flicking his tail back and forth.

Duskfall trotted into camp, her pretty eyes scanning the clearing. "Oh... I missed it," she said to herself. "Bummer." Sitting down she gave her chest fur a few licks. Not much point in staying here if the news was already given.

Seeing duskfall,he beckoned her to join him. "So,where were you? Did you stay at the border?" He chuckled. "No need dusk. Its fine. Phoenixfire is the new deputy. You weren't there,so if ouldn't appoint you anyways." He sighed. Good luck phoneixfire.

Duskfall nodded. "Yeah, I stayed at the border." Her eyes flashed when she heared Phoenix was the new deptuy. "Well congrats to him," she said bitterly.

He heard the bitterness in her voice. He sighed. "Look,you might not approve,but its for the clan. I can't choose friends over my clan." He grinned. "I stick to my clan. Forever and as long as i will roam these forests."

Dusk just glared at him. "Whatever. I still dont think that stuck up warrior will do much for the clan." Standing, she trotted away, without even saying goodbye. Sitting down at the edge of the clearing, she wished she hadnt come.

He sighed. But who knows. Every leader starts as a warrior. She might even be one. But a little voice in his head said,No shes not. She stuck up and rude. He shook his head to clear his mind. "It's so hard to explain to her."

"Stuck up. Rude. Annoying, Leader," she muttered under her breath. "I bet he thinks I'm the stuck up, rude one. But he is wrong. We will se if he likes it when..." she trailed of, nt wanting to give her secret away. Any one of these cats might tell him about her plot.

She glanced around the clearing. This is getting boring. Ecilpsedark saw the ThunderClan leader and another ThunderClan cat arguing. The dusky cat stood up and walked over to the ThunderClan cat.

Seeing a riverclan warrior walk over to dusk,he glanced back at high rock. Sighing,he stood up. Shaking the dust firm his pelt,he trotted up onto the rock. He laid down,his head on his paws.

Duskfall looked up as a Riverclan cat approached her. "What do you want," she asked warily. Perhaps Hawkstar has sent the warrior to try and convince her that Phoenixfire was the right deputy.

Ecilpsedark looked at the ThunderClan cat curiously. "What's your name?" she asked in her quiet but friendly way. She looked at her leader and smiled before turning back.

He sank his claws through some moss on the rock. Why can't dusk understand. I'm doing it for the clan. Not for my friends and family. He word echoed in his mind. Family family.... He gritted his teeth.
