Shadowclan camp

A dark, well-concealed hollow hidden deep in shadows. It is surrounded by prickly and fierce brambles. The leader's den is beneath the roots of a big oak tree. The warriors' den is under a bramble bush. The den looks prickly on the outside, but on the inside, it's lined with pine needles and moss.[7] There is a smooth boulder at the edge of the clearing, which serves as a higher place for the leader to address the camp. Propped up next to this large rock is another rock, and it creates a sheltered cave underneath. It is the medicine den. Sick cats can rest in the ferns surrounding the boulder. There is another hollow shielded by a thorn bush. This is the nursery, and the thorn bush is protection

The silver cat sat in a corner of the camp, licking her paw delicatly with a pink tongue. Green eyes swept over the clearing hiding all emotion, though emotion was there, under her pelt itching at her. those complete fools to steal prey from the windclan side of the border! shadowstar didnt even punish them! placing her paw down the deputy of shadowclan stretched a little and yawned in the sunhigh warmth, little warmth it was though due to it being leafbare after all.

Shadowstar crouched low and stretched, her muscles quivering. Padding out into the weak sunlight she blinked, her eyes adjusting. Sighing, she leapt ontop of the boulder, licking her shoulder. "Let all cats brave enough to face all of the dark forest gather here beneath the boulder." Her voice rang out across the camp, and she smiled a little. She remembered when a pesky Thunderclan warrior had told her what their call was. Nothing compared to ours. Her green eyes dances with satisfaction.

keeping her face carefully emotionless the silver female stood and padded over to the rock sitting down with a neat flick of her paws. her accusing green eyes stared up at her leader with out a quiver of doubt. we are the children of starclan! not the spawn of the darkforest. why is she slandering our great clan with darkness her face showed none of her private thoughts. lowering her head she smoothed out her chest fur with a couple of licks.

Shadowstar rolled her eyes seeing the doubt in Silvermoons eyes. Didnt she understand? Brave enough to face all of the dark forest. Brave enough to defeat them all. Sheesh, some cats never learn. Although, she could be thinking something else, but the look in her eyes and many others just deepened her suspision. "I have something to ask. Yesterday a Windclan patrol came and accused me one stealing prey. Does anyone know about this?" her green eyes were hard. They did not have to steal to survive. They were higher than that.

the doubt vanished from silvermoons eyes and she stood saying "I caught Badgerberry stealing it" she flicked her tail over at the red nosed black cat. her own green eyes sparkled with a coldness that seemed to erupt from her.

The Shadowclan leader nodded to her deputy. "Thank you Silvermoon." Turning her cold gaze toward badgerberry she snarled. "Why would you steal prey. It is against the will of Starclan. We have enough in our own part of the forest. I think they are leading an attack against us now, I wouldnt put it past them. You, apparently, dont deserve to be a warrior. From now on until you learn again, your name will be Badgerkit. You will sleep in the nursery where kits belong. You also must rid the elders of their ticks."The cat had to learn that stealing prey was dishonorable. Shadowstar nodded. "Just incase they are planning an attack I want extra guards on the look out. Have the medicine den and the nursery well protected. Meeting dismissed, Silvermoon, I would like a word." The she-cat leapt down from the boulder, her green eyes worried.

Plunging through the brambled exterior Snakestar yowled "preystealers!" with a single bound he tackled shadowstar over raking his back claws through her stomach. being a larger than what was normal cat he towered over her. his large ears pinned back he gave a snake like hiss.

The black femme pushed of the tom and snarled at him. "We have enough problems without you coming into our camp. The problem has been delt with." She swiped a paw at his muzzle, her muscls tense. "Mixedbreed."

His brown eyes flashed and he dodged under her paw swipe and raked his claw down her shoulder. his tail lashing "darkforest scum!" he retorted, spotted pelt gleaming. he gave another snake like hiss and gave her a smack to the side of the face with a large paw.

"Thats going to far," the she-cat said, dodging his swipe at her shoulder, and the one to her face. "You know that the Dark forest is evil, unlike us. I repeat, the problem has been dealt with!" Her green eyes were furious. "Get out of my camp."

he flicked his tail his eyes glowing, turning he gave a yowl to his warriors before spitting at her "if i catch another shadowclan kittypet on my territory i will send them back in tatters" he turned and stalked off, handsome body moving easily.

Following him with her peircing gaze she spat as his retreating form. Shaking her head she lashed out with her paw. "I knew this would happen. Is everyone OK?" The leader gazed around the camp, a worried look on her pretty features.

Silvermoon padded up and reported in her calm unemotional way "badgerkit was attacked the most, seemed like they knew it had been him" her green eyes watched her leader unwaveringly. Silvermoon was pretty but she was hard to read and spurned any sort of male advances.

Shadowstar nodded. "Wouldnt blame them. Is everyone else ok?" She studied her deputy with calculating eyes. Did she never show the slightest interest in anything? Any emotion at all? Sighing she licked her shoulder as she waited.

"the elders are shaken as are the queens, the toms are riled and want to go after them the fools" she had a slight sound of scorn to her voice as she spoke of toms. she flicked her tail and licked a large shoulder wound on her left shoulder. her pink tongue delicate and precise. Her green eyes watched the camp with a calculating gaze, lifting her head she stared back at her leader. her ears tilted back a little as she remembered
her father Adderrake was standing over her "get up Silverpaw! dont be a weak kittypet!" he continued swiping at her with his claws unsheathed "a warrior never loves! a warrior only breeds for the clan!" his cold blue eyes stared at her as he continued swiping at her until she promised that she would never love
coming back to the present Silvermoon dipped her head and said "are you ok Shadowstar? you seem a bit...." she trailed off.

Shadowstar nodded. "Alright. We will have to get the elders and queens calmed down. The toms need to take it easy." Catching her last question we started in surprise. "What do you mean? I seem a bit what?" the leader was genuinely confused. What could she seem like? She trusted her deputy with her life, and was flustered that she thought something was wrong.

she shook her head and said "the toms will listen to you about not going after them, ill see to the elders" she turned and padded off, her whiskers still as they usually were. ignoring the cut on her side her tail waved through the air gently. she sat down and began soothing the elders, a gentle tone to her voice yet no emotion behind it.

Shadowstar sighed. It seemed her deputy had evaded the question. Trotting over to a group of toms clustered together, she sopke to them sharply. "You will not go after them. That would make you as bad as they are. If you do then there will be punishments." The toms mumbled their consent and the leader stalked away passing Silvermoon she nodded gratefully. Slipping into the hollow tree she curled up and sighed. Her mind drifted as she thought.

Finishing calming down the elders silvermoon stood with her usual grace and picked up a fat lizard from the freshkill pile. turning she padded over to shadowstars den and laid it down "shall we eat together old friend?" the deputy asked her leader quietly. Green eyes unblinking and direct.

Shadowstar nodded and shuffled around so that her body was across from Silvermoons. "These days have been hard on the clan," she said with a sigh. "I fear they do not respect me as much as they should."

Silvermoon nodded and took a bite from the prey, chewing it thoughtfully she swished her tail and suggested "perhaps you could send a patrol to the carrion place to have them catch some rats for the freshkill pile" she whisked her tail over so it rested on her thigh and blinked watching her leader carefully "Snakestar is as wily as his name" she muttered darkly, her eyes glittering.

The leader nodded at her sugguestion. "They will have to be carfull not to bring back infected ones though." She tipped her head at Silvermoons next words. "Yes, and I fear thats not the last we will see of him. He seems to think he can trapeize through any territory he wishes." Shadowstar took a bite of the lizard, her bright green eyes thoughtfull. Standing, she nodded to her deputy. "In fact, can you take Lizardpelt, Littlefang, and Ravenfur with you right away? I will go patrol the border incase there is any stragglers from the battle patrol." With a nod of her head the black she-cat slipped out of her den and through the bramble walls of cmp, heading to the borders.

Silvermoon nodded and flicked her tail whiskers twitching. Turning her gaze swept over to oceanfeather and she blinked her green eyes. Deftly padding over she gave him a prod with a silver paw "come on you are coming with me to the carrion place to hunt" she glared a little at him before she turned and whisked off briskly.
